This course aims to teach you the Greek language so that you can effectively communicate with the locals during your stay in the beautiful regions of Crete and Chania. Throughout your journey in learning the Greek language, you will also gain insights into the rich Greek civilization and the fascinating history of Crete. The aim of the Greek language and civilization course is to enable foreign students to improve both the ability to communicate and the linguistic competence in the Greek language inside and outside the classroom. It enables students to use the Greek language in different situations and social contexts to communicate and interact with each other, through various activities that create a dynamic classroom environment. Receptive (reading, listening) and productive (writing, speaking) skills will be developed. Moreover, the courses will give an insight into the greek, and more specifically into the cretan culture and society, as well as a wider understanding of the social aspect of the Greek language.
